What kind of drill bit is used on stainless steel? Saw blade?

Are you trying to drill a hole ? What are you trying to cut?

– drilling & sawing into a stainless steel cooking pot hole sizes 5/8″ – 2 ¼”
– will bimetal hole saws cut stainless steel?
– what sort of saber saw blade might one use to cut a 10″ diam. Enclosed hole in a sheet of stainless steel?

If you are drilling a hole into a boiler the easiest way to do it is with punch- they are expensive (http://www.grainger.com/product/GREENLEE-Knockout-Punch-1ED81) for a cheaper option use a step drill bit- use oil to keep it cool and go slowly- but apply a lot of force.
