corn and sugar mash

      I started some corn and sugar mash on Friday. I stirred it every day. I put 20 lbs of cracked corn and 15 lbs of sugar in water with two teaspoons of yeast….. It only bubbles when I stir it.

      I have it in a large trash can with a lid. It is NOT air tight. Is that an issue? When is it ready to distill?

      It sounds like the yeast is doing its thing-

      It is done once fermentation is done- the easiest way to tell that is once the hydrometer reading has not changed for 3 days in a row.
