      I read where you need to sprout your corn and dry it before you grind it into your wash. Can you just use the corn right out the bag or cob. Can this step be skipped. Some people say yes

      You can skip the sprouting if you are adding yeast to the mash. If you want to use the natural yeast that attaches itself to the sprouted corn then you need to sprout it.

      Thank you makes things a little easier.
      I found another recipe that just calls for corn and sugar. For my first corn whisky. What do you think I should do

      For the first corn whiskey –

      I would do corn and sugar or use flaked corn.

      You can get flaked corn from any homebrew shop.

      What is the recipe you are looking at?
