I have started a 5 gal sugar wash with bread yeast, is it ok to add distiller yeast to it?

This is an old thread but I thought to throw in a complete answer for anyone who may be going back and reading about this. Yeast requires nutrition (nitrogen, vitamins, etc.) to work. A straight sugar wash has no included nutrition therefore you need to use yeast that has all the nutrition included. These are typically referred to as turbo yeasts. You can find really good turbo yeasts for all applications at: https://turbodistillersyeast.com/
