50 gals is over kill for your self but not if making it is as fuel. Larger pipe is best it wont make more ethanol but will reduce the chance of building presser up in the pot if you happen to run it to hot. Ex shiner, pro cop troller I know all shining info the real stuff not myths.

aerate you just shake it. Don’t do that. That is good yes but if you want to do it like a professional (ex shiner) simply add 1 drop of olive oil per 5 gallons. To get 1 drop dip a tooth pick in the oil and let it drip. 1 drop acts like o2 to the yeast. If you get a few extra drops it wont hurt it but wont help so 1 drop per 5 gal.

for best shine don’t go much below 50% production. Your end product might be 70+ % but water it down to 50 or 40% once you start producing around 30% your in the tail and it is fine to run it to 0% it will just not taste the best, Wont hurt you if your after the max alcohol content.

OMG methanol is no problem listen to no one who talks about it. You can’t produce deadly amounts of methanol EVER you need to make around 27,000 gallons of wash at once to make enough methanol to harm you THAT’S A FACT!!! Wine has the most methanol because the skins, next is beer, next is booze. Sugar wash makes zero to NO methanol. No matter what you ferment then distill you can not harm your self from methanol it is a lie I am the most knowledge ex shiner here. Dump first shot or so yeah it will have a SMALL amount of methanol but not deadly, you can distill all day and no matter what your product will still have small amount of methanol in it. So unless your distilling 27000+ gallons at one time you have nothing to worry about.

First run needs to run around 200/low 200s. Foggy most times means low alc and a lot of water. It can also mean a lot of transfer like if you put a bunch of that dad yeast in your pot that is on the bottom of your fermentation container. But that gunk atteh bottom of your fermentation container is very good yeast nutrient for your next batch boil it and add it to your next fermentation container yeast eat dead yeast.
